The Staff Assistant - Admissions/Career and College Promise provides support for all aspects of the Career & College Promise Program from application through enrollment, and reports to the Director of Admissions and Recruiting. The Staff Assistant - Admissions/Career and College Promise also assists with program and event implementation as it relates to the population served by the Director of High School Programs and College Access.
The duties of the Staff Assistant - Admissions/Career and College Promise include, but are not limited to:
Process new dual enrollment applications
Disseminate information by using the telephone, mail services, and e-mail
Organize and maintain the student file system to include receiving applications, entering data into Datatel, making folders, receiving transcripts, and scanning all documents
Greet students and visitors
Respond to phone requests for information regarding Career & College Promise
Create spreadsheets, compose correspondence, and manage databases
Assist with events and activities
Coordinate with other departments within the College
Assist with reports
Process secondary major forms
Other duties and responsibilities as assigned by the Director of Admissions and Recruiting, Director of High School Programs and Student Access, Dean of Student Services, and Senior Vice President of Student Services and Workforce Development

Frequently sitting at a desk or workstation using a telephone, computer, keyboard, and mouse; some standing and walking

Associate's degree from a regionally accredited institution
Proficiency in Microsoft Office software and the use of a variety of office equipment to include fax machine, photocopier, scanner, and videoconferencing and telephone systems
Excellent typing, public relations, communications, and problem-solving skills
Strong organizational skills with attention to detail
Ability to maintain a high level of confidentiality
Working knowledge of the Datatel Colleague system preferred
