Missouri Rural Electric Cooperative seeks a full-time Customer Service Representative for their Palmyra Office. The Customer Service Representative must efficiently and accurately maintain all customer records; receive payments and properly account for all money received; provide members with a professional and positive customer service experience; promote positive member and public relations; and provide clerical support as needed. The Customer Service Representative must be friendly, reliable, and trustworthy. It is critical that the Customer Service Representative possess a positive attitude, be a team player, and have polite telephone skills. Special projects and additional tasks are assigned at the discretion of management.
Required Skills – Excellent customer service skills, computer literacy, working knowledge of Microsoft Office, organizational skills, excellent verbal and written communication skills, knowledge of basic math, ability to learn and understand the Cooperative’s mapping system.
Education/Experience – High School Diploma or equivalent is required. Degree or Certificate and/or one-year customer service experience is preferred.
Lifting Capacity – Must be able to lift 25 pounds.
Other Requirements – The successful candidate must pass the customer service and computer literacy tests administered by Missouri Rural Electric Cooperative.
This is a non-union position with an excellent benefits package. The successful candidate must pass an initial substance screening and, as an employee, will be subject to drug/controlled substance screenings.
