Oversees the delivery of patient care through subordinate staff and managers. Establishes operational goals, objectives, and budgets for multiple complex departments.
Responsibilities include establishment and implementation of optimal operating policies and procedures required to deliver quality patient care and appropriately manager resources.
Communicates, organizes, prioritizes, leads, facilitates, coaches and problem solve with reporting staff to ensure that goals, objectives, and budgets are met.
Works cooperatively with internal and external stakeholders to plan for new health care services and performance improvement initiatives.
Recognizes and acts upon opportunities for growth and improvement to advance goals of the organization. Utilizes project management principles to accomplish goals, seeks out appropriate resources, and proactively anticipates changes within the market.
Responsible for operational goals, plans and fiscal management including budget development, implementation, and monitoring for multiple departments.
Strategically plans for growth, staffing, services, educational opportunities, and effective performance improvement in collaboration with Human Resources.
Responsible for the development, growth and adaptability of the oncology programs focusing on continuity and cohesiveness of patient care.
Manage support areas related to oncology care delivery and will also focus on contracts, capital equipment/request, and renovation/construction projects.
Responsible for supporting service line mission and meeting goals and scorecard objectives utilizing a system approach. Aligns work with strategic goals. Responsible for assuring compliance with accrediting and regulatory agencies

Education: Master’s Degree or equivalent 12 years of experience required. If the area(s) of responsibility employ and have responsibility for supervising RNs, a Master's degree is required and a nursing degree at the minimum of the BSN level is required for Magnet compliance pending the area is within the Magnet scope.
Experience: 5-7years experience in management, preferably health care environment, demonstrating increased and/or diversified responsibility for related services. Oncology experience preferred; Project management experience preferred; service line development experience preferred; building management experience preferred.
Licensure, certification, and/or registration: Licensure and/or certification in medical or management related discipline. Advanced leadership, planning and organizational skills to manage multiple and potentially large, complex departments and to direct the successful completion of initiatives and achievement of fiscal goals. Demonstrated interpersonal and communication abilities to support and promote a respectful, inclusive culture of service excellence. Proven skills in clinical, operational and human resource management, including staffing, planning, performance management, team work and process improvement. Statistical analysis and fiscal management skills.
