KEY RESPONSIBILITIES: •Oversee and Develop Student-Athletes, specifically Jumping Seat •Recruitment of Prospective Student-Athletes •Administrative and Public Relations Responsibilities •Supervise Assigned Personnel Associated with Program •Oversee Management of the Horse Herd

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:

• Bachelor’s degree completed by date of application;
• At least three years of collegiate coaching, riding, instructor or NCEA experience – an equivalent combination will be considered;
• Knowledge of and experience in recruitment of student-athletes, supervision of staff, and budget management;
• Knowledge of and/or experience in providing care for competition horses;
• Commitment to promote an atmosphere of compliance and adherence to institutional, conference and NCAA rules and regulations;
• Commitment to achieving high graduation rates;
• Demonstrated fundraising, promotion and public relations experience;
• Effective communication (oral, written and interpersonal) skills;
• Demonstrated organizational and time management skills;
• Proven career path; and
• Valid drivers license or ability to obtain within 30 days of employment.

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS:

• Master’s degree;
• Knowledge of Western and Jumping Seat disciplines;
• Knowledge of NCAA Division I rules and regulations;
• Division I collegiate coaching experience; and
• Head coach experience.
