Position Summary:
This position will oversee all aspects of a Division I program, including the management of two full-time assistant coaches. The Head Coach will provide positive direction and leadership to maintain a successful field hockey program; plan and administer all aspects of the program; coach, recruit, adhere to NCAA and MAC compliance policies; demonstrated ability to be fiscally responsible and manage complex budgets; have the ability to work with athletic communications on public relations initiatives; and be directly involved with fundraising and university development initiatives.
Required Qualifications:
Bachelors degree
Minimum of two years of coaching experience, preferably at the collegiate level
Demonstrated experience in collegiate field hockey recruiting
Knowledge of and commitment to compliance with NCAA rules, regulations, and policies
Demonstrated integrity
Proven leadership skills
Ability to motivate and support student-athletes in achieving both academic and athletic success
Effective verbal and written communication skills
Ability to perform the essential functions of the job with or without reasonable accommodation
Preferred Qualifications:
Masters degree
Division I coaching and recruiting experience
