Salary offers at Syracuse University will be based on education, experience, and relevant skills, as well as the academic or professional discipline of the position in the context of the home department, school, or college. Salary offers may also be influenced by prior relevant work or industry experience, where applicable. Faculty pay ranges are for 8.5 months salary unless otherwise specified.

The S.I. Newhouse School of Public Communications at Syracuse University is seeking an instructor to teach PRL 530 Special Topics in PR: Workplace Orientation for PRL April 2, 2026-April 23, 2026 on Thursdays 5:00pm-8:15pm during the Spring 2026 semester (1 credit).

Course Description: This course provides realistic guidance on job search and career advancement strategies for students seeking public relations/strategic communications careers. Taught by an experienced executive, it will address such topics as: workplace expectations, business etiquette, soft skills, networking strategies, emotional intelligence, relationship building, critical thinking, work ethic, developing a growth mindset and interpersonal skills.
