FUNCTIONAL DESCRIPTION OF UNIT: The Chief Financial Officer (CFO) provides leadership, direction, and oversight of all financial operations within the district, ensuring fiscal responsibility, transparency, and alignment with the district’s strategic priorities. The CFO administers the business affairs of the system in such a way as to provide the best possible educational services with the financial resources available, and is responsible for a financial management system that reflects the financial condition of the board of education on a timely and accurate basis. The CFO is responsible for advising the Superintendent and Board of Education on all budgetary and financial matters, ensuring resources are allocated effectively to support student success.
