The Harvey A. Friedman Center for Aging at WashU is a university-wide center that works with internal and external partners. This position works in collaboration with the Friedman Center Manager to provide support for events, programming and communications. This includes working with the Manager to develop, plan and implement the Centerâ™s monthly, yearly and one-off events as well as all Center communications.
Job Description
Primary Duties & Responsibilities:
Event Management
Assists with managing Manages the planning and implementation of all Center events.
Works with Center team to coordinate annual lectures, seminars, other public events, and regular workgroups and meetings.
Works with supervisor to ensures integration of Centerâ™s efforts into larger university missions and identifies opportunities for collaboration across centers, departments, and schools.
Communications and Partnerships
Serves as a liaison for the Center with internal university departments and organizations outside of the university.
Represents the Center at internal and external meetings and other functions.
Works with Center team to implement communication plans and develop content to communicate effectively with Center audiences; develops new and maintains positive and effective relationships with partners.
Implementation of New Initiatives
Supports the implementation of educational programs, workshops, and seminars relevant to the Centerâ™s mission, including input on content and structure.
Perform other duties as assigned.

Salary Range
$23.37 - $36.19 / HourlyThe salary range reflects base salaries paid for positions in a given job grade across the University. Individual rates within the range will be determined by factors including one's qualifications and performance, equity with others in the department, market rates for positions within the same grade and department budget.
