Serve as the senior faculty administrator and oversee day-to-day activities related to excellence in teaching, research, and outreach while enhancing visibility of RID+I locally, nationally, and internationally.
Balance fiscal models, growth strategy, scale, and scope of programs.
Engage actively with dual enrollment, administration, teachers, and counselors to enhance the design experiences that prepare high schoolers to attend RID+I.
Foster strong connections between academic activities, research/creative scholarship, professional partnerships and sponsored projects and research.
Further the mission/vision, strategic plan, and brand positioning for RID+I, including the development of digital marketing and communication materials.
Optimize use of facilities for both the Interior Architecture and Design Program and the Product Design Programs.
Provide academic management and administrative leadership for faculty/staff development, program development and assessment, strategic planning, budgeting within a strategic resource management budget model, public relations, and fundraising.
Provide leadership for recruitment and retention of diverse students, staff, and faculty.
Serve as a liaison to administration, alumni, and the community.
Serve as part of the College's leadership team.
Supervise and evaluate faculty and staff personnel.
Teach annually, as needed.
Other duties as assigned.
Short Job Description:
Graduate degree or international equivalent in a design field or related area from an accredited institution.
Sufficient record of achievement to be tenured and assigned as full professor in one of the College's academic units.
