The Institutional Reporting Analyst data analyst is a key member of the Institutional Research team, contributing to the College's data and research efforts. This role involves enhancing data accessibility within the institution, ensuring the accurate and efficient delivery of produced data and information. The data analyst is tasked with retrieving and analyzing data from diverse sources to furnish insights and analyses crucial for planning, assessment, accountability, and enhancing performance across various areas of the college.
Required Qualification:
· A bachelor's degree (master's preferred) in a field related to Social Science, Computer Science, Statistics, Business, Data Analytics, Information Science, or a similar discipline is required.
· A minimum of 3 years of experience in a dynamic, deadline-driven office setting is necessary, preferably in a higher education institutional research role or a closely related field.
· Possess a comprehensive understanding of institutional research methods, quantitative and qualitative data analysis, analytical computing, and issues relevant to higher education.
· Demonstrated proficiency in utilizing statistical tools such as SPSS or SAS, as well as expertise in data analytics. Experience with modern data visualization tools like MS Power BI or Tableau is highly desirable.
· Proficiency in cleaning, debugging, and analyzing intricate datasets that integrate information from diverse sources is crucial, with the ability to swiftly create ad hoc database queries using contemporary desktop database tools such as SQL.
· Competence in Microsoft Office software is essential, and familiarity with survey research tools like Survey Monkey is preferred. Knowledge of ERP applications, particularly Ellucian Colleague Student System, is considered a plus.
· The successful candidate should be capable of independently handling complex assignments, collaborating effectively with others, and maintaining positive working relationships.
· Strong time and project management skills are essential.
· The ability to articulate complex ideas and present analytical findings clearly and persuasively, both verbally and in writing, is required.
An understanding of how community colleges promote access, address community needs, and promote equity is desirable.

5. Offer support for faculty and staff in their assessment endeavors.
6. Embrace and champion the emerging data informed culture, providing unit-specific yet college-wide insights for informed planning and decision-making.
7. Cultivate a comprehensive understanding of the data needs of various college departments, focusing on reporting metrics such as regional demographics, student enrollment, course success, retention, and graduation rates.
8. Establish and maintain program review dashboards to allow for regular access to program specific data and metrics.
9. Collaborate as a vital member of the team to produce top-tier institutional research reports.
10. Provide dedicated support for the college's strategic planning process.
11. Contribute support for and potentially serve as a member of our Institutional Review Board.
12. Swiftly respond to ad hoc requests for information with accuracy and efficiency.
13. Actively participate on college committees, contributing to the advancement of key college initiatives.
