Report on all issues relevant to Nebraska and the Midwest, specifically agriculture, food, energy, and issues of importance in rural America. Conduct interviews, write, edit, produce and voice both long and short-form stories for multiple platforms including radio and digital. Collaborate with both internal and external partners. Utilize strong communication and writing skills to develop and pitch story ideas and work on stories as assigned. Serve as an editor and lead producer, or as a team member, for larger projects.

Minimum Required Qualifications:
Bachelor's degree in journalism, broadcasting, communications or related field and one year of news reporting and/or experience in the production of news/public affairs programming; equivalent education/experience considered. Experience creating, developing, writing and producing stories and/or programs for local/regional/national audiences. Strong interpersonal, communication, reporting and researching skills necessary. News reporting, copywriting and editing, knowledge of current events, computer literacy.
Preferred Qualifications:
Three years' on-air reporting experience, production experience and/or knowledge in news production preferred. Experience writing for multiple platforms (print, broadcast, digital). Experience covering agriculture. Digital editing, on-air broadcast presentation skills, ability to conduct background and broadcast interviews, producing, research and investigative reporting skills. Familiarity with podcasting and public records databases helpful.
