Your Role on the Team
Under the supervision and direction of the Law Centers Manager, the Law Centers Coordinator assumes a range of responsibilities critical to the administration, planning, and execution of scholarly programming hosted by the School of Law and its Centers and Initiatives. The responsibilities primarily include event coordination and administration, communications, financial processing, and website management. The successful candidate must be able to work independently, efficiently, and accurately, exercising soundjudgment, flexibility, and responsiveness to specific directions and project requirements while maintaining awareness of general policies and procedures of the department, Law School, and campus. The Law Centers Coordinator must demonstrate a high standard of professionalism and competence in all correspondence and conduct, and consistently generate work products free of errors within appropriate and often abbreviated timelines. The expected pay range for this recruitment is $28.49 - $29.81 (Hourly).
Required:
Bachelor's degree and 2-4 years of experience, or equivalent combination of education and experience working in an academic or professional environment.
Ability to multi-task, make sound decisions, and work collaboratively in a fast-paced, dynamic, and demanding environment.
Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
Excellent interpersonal skills for working with diverse groups of students, faculty, and staff as well as external professionals and community members.
Attention to detail and commitment to quality of output.
Ability to anticipate problems and determine appropriate solutions.
Ability to treat sensitive matters with discretion and tact, and to maintain confidentiality.
Familiarity with academic and technical legal language.
Excellent computer skills and proficiency with Microsoft Office and Adobe Suites.
Ability to successfully pass a background check.

Working knowledge of appropriate University and agency policies and procedures
Knowledge of UCI internal online Kuali Financial System (KFS), Zot portal, and Cascade CMS (Content Management System)
Special Conditions:
Working hours are Monday through Friday, 8:30 a.m. to 5:30 p.m., depending on coverage needs and subjects to change based on need of the department. Schedule and shift assignments may be occasionally adjusted (i.e. weekends, evening shifts) to ensure adequate staffing to meet operational needs. Such changes will be made in compliance with Article 10 of the current Teamsters Local 2010 contract.
