Samaritan Healthcare is searching for a Foundation director to join our team! The Foundation Director is responsible for providing leadership to develop, direct and execute all activities of the Samaritan Healthcare Foundation including fundraising, donor relations, foundation board and committee relationships, and community outreach efforts. This role is vital in supporting the advancement the programs and services of the Hospital District and inspiring people to support exceptional healthcare for the region. The Foundation Director also provides strategic leadership to the Foundation Board of Directors and Committees, driving financial and community support for the Foundation’s mission. This is a full-time salary exempt position. Relocation assistance provided.
Education:
Bachelor's degree in Communications, Marketing, Business Administration or a related field required.
Master’s degree in a related field preferred.
Experience:
3-5 years’ of previous foundation or donor relationship management experience. Experience in healthcare preferred.
5-7 years’ experience fundraising environment. Experience in healthcare preferred.
Skills:
Experience in relationship building, including the proven ability to cultivate and maintain strong relationships with donors, stakeholders, and community members, fostering long-term partnerships that support the Foundation’s mission.
Skilled in committee and board facilitation, including the ability to organize, lead and facilitate meetings and activities for committees and the Foundation’s Board of Directors, ensuring effective collaboration and decision-making.
Experience in fundraising strategy, strategic planning and implementation.
Skilled in financial management and non-profit regulatory compliance.
Ability to exercise planning, organization, delegation, and follow-through skills to effectively complete the most complex technical assignments.
Ability to analyze and resolve problems in a timely and efficient manner when working with a variety of stakeholders.
Excellent interpersonal, written, and verbal skills.
Demonstrates effective delegation skills to streamline operational workflows and optimize resources.
Samaritan Healthcare is a locally owned community hospital district located in sunny Moses Lake, WA. Originally formed in 1947 as a small hospital by the community, the hospital has grown to 50 inpatient beds and serves all of grant county, a population of over 100,000 patients annually. Members of the community and professionals of the organization are excited about the completion of a brand-new state of the art replacement hospital located on 55 acres of land, slated for completion on March 11th, 2026! Samaritan Healthcare also has 2 outpatient clinics that serve not only primary care, but specialty services such as OB/GYN, Cardiology, Orthopedics and more! With the new location, Samaritan has room to grow with 25 acres left over after the new hospital is completed. A physician residency, medical office building and other exciting expansions are already in discussion.
