About This Internship

Arch’s 10-week summer internship program offers students a unique opportunity to gain hands on experience in the insurance industry. It provides challenging learning experiences that serve as a foundation for interns to explore their career choices and to develop professional skills. Working alongside some of the most talented members of the specialty insurance industry, interns will gain relevant expertise in various aspects of the field, participate in learning activities and receive ongoing feedback.

About This Role

• Contribute to the reporting on financial and non-financial benefits for the strategic portfolio in Operations.
• Assist in the facilitation of Framework Execution Health Checks for the Operations team.
• Support the management and maintenance of the portfolio management tool for Operations.
• Support communications for initiatives and the portfolio.
• Design and implement ad hoc reports using data from the portfolio management tool, working with subject matter experts to gather requirements and understand design needs. Present findings to SPM leadership.
• Support data gathering for quarterly benefits reporting, with an opportunity to suggest process improvements.
• Assist with communications, delivering a targeted message during the internship to gain exposure to corporate communications.

Qualifications

• Actively completing area of study in Business Management, Data Analytics, Communications, or relevant program.
• Minimum 3.0 GPA or higher. 
• College level - current Junior or Senior student.
• Exposure to Power BI strongly preferred.
• Tools including Microsoft data tool set and Python preferred.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills.
• Experience telling a story with data, building and delivering presentations, ideally with PowerPoint.
• Entrepreneurial spirit along with the desire to be a continuous learner. 
• Team player who collaborates effectively.
• Self-starter who can work independently and deal effectively with multiple tasks/priorities in a fast-paced environment. 

Location & Work Arrangement 

• The program dates are June 2 - August 8, 2025.
• This position is classified as a hybrid position. You will work 2 days onsite and 3 days from home. 
• This position is in Hartford, CT.
• Relocation and housing assistance is not provided for this role.

Timeline 

Arch summer internship positions will be posted from September 2024 and will be unposted when filled.  

Pay   

For individuals assigned to or hired to work in Hartford, CT, the hourly rate is $22-30 as of the time of posting. The breadth in the range exists to accommodate students in specialized programs such as actuarial candidates and graduate students. Any actual rate offered will take into account a number of factors including but not limited to geographic location, scope & responsibilities of the role, along with the education & qualifications of the candidate. The above range may be modified in the future. Intern position is eligible for select Arch benefits.
