The Opportunity:
Washington State University (WSU) Global Campus is seeking a Global Connections Program Coordinator to bring engaging virtual co- and extra-curricular events to WSU Global Campus students. While cultivating a campus community that is inclusive, connected, and welcoming with energy and school spirit.
As the Global Connections Program Coordinator, you will be responsible for developing, implementing, and evaluating the delivery of approximately 40 co- and extracurricular social, cultural, and educational events conducted annually through webinars and online streaming to a diverse audience.
Implementation of these programs must be efficient, cost-effective, and professional, as well as contribute to and increase the sense of belonging for our students. This role will require you to possess strong administrative, organizational, and planning skills, self-direction, excellent public speaking, networking, and time-management skills, and a collaborative work ethic to meet demanding timelines and deliverables in a high-profile environment.
In this role, you will be expected to positively and professionally represent WSU Global Campus to external clients, faculty, and staff. You will be responsible for the production of programs which meet the highest standards and fulfill the Global Connections goal of providing extracurricular programs that help WSU Global Campus students connect to their online community and diversify their learning experience.
Key Responsibilities:
Cultivate diverse, equitable, inclusive, and safe environments for all people that fosters transformative student experiences, authentic community engagement, respectful knowledge exchange, and school spirit.
Maintain annual virtual engaging programming for WSU Global Campus students.
Create digital images to promote events and programs on WSU websites, newsletters, social media, etc.
Maintain, edit, and monitor webpages and other student platforms.
Proactively nurture talent of student ambassadors including developing performance goals and objectives and providing ongoing constructive feedback. Monitor and evaluate the effectiveness of initiatives and programs, making data-driven recommendations for improvement.

This is a remote position with the successful candidate performing all work at an alternative location.
Required Qualifications:
High school graduation or equivalent AND two (2) years of experience in the program specialty, which is online student coordination or student involvement/coordination, OR equivalent education/experience.
Prior professional level experience in marketing, promotional, or related work.
Experience with event planning.
Demonstrated writing and oral communication skills.
Must be available to work evening hours and occasional weekends, with a flex schedule of 40 hours a week.
Bandwidth: Minimum bandwidth of 4.0Mbps for upload and download required for telework work assignment.
Preferred Qualifications:
Bachelor's degree in marketing, public relations, communications, adult education, or related field. Any combination of relevant education and experience may be substituted for the educational qualification on a year-for-year basis.
Experience working with distance students and instructors teaching in the distance learning environment.
Ability to effectively work with people from various backgrounds including under-served populations.
Effective written and verbal communication skills and ability to present to diverse audiences.
Experience with a variety of technology tools.
Experience with virtual event planning and delivery.
Demonstrated ability to make and maintain excellent professional connections and collaborations.
Personnel management experience.

Monthly Salary: $3,477 to 4,632 | Range 40 (Steps A to M) | Successful candidates typically begin at the beginning of the salary range and receive scheduled salary increment increases in accordance with WAC 357-28.
