The John Glenn College of Public Affairs seeks to hire Semester Lecturers to teach in-person courses in Spring 2025.
PUBAFRS 3500 Public Management
This course prepares students to effectively work within or with public (government) organizations, address public management challenges, explore the unique environment of public organizations, learn how performance is measured and what makes an effective public manager. Additionally, the course addresses the role of for-profit and nonprofit organizations in public service delivery.
Performance Objectives
Planning and organizing instruction in ways which maximize student learning. Meeting scheduled classes and office hours in accordance with university policy. Ensuring curriculum implementation and course preparation in accordance with school standards. Preparing homework and exams, evaluating, and returning student work in a timely manner to promote learning. Maintaining accurate records of students progress and submitting final grade roster in accordance with established university deadlines. Maintaining confidentiality of student information in accordance with FERPA.
Candidates must be able to perform these duties in a flexible work environment. Courses may be scheduled during mornings or afternoons.
Selected candidate will teach in-person on the Columbus Campus
Education and Experience
Required: Masters degree, excellent oral and written communication skills, potential (demonstrated ability) to teach this course to undergraduate or graduate students.
