Job Description: Reporting directly to the Senior Vice President and Chief Financial Officer (CFO), the Director of Operations will coordinate the effective and efficient day-to-day operations for the CFO and the division. The Director will routinely collaborate with members of the CFO leadership team, members of the Board of Trustees and external stakeholders. As a trusted advisor to the CFO, this role requires a highly resourceful individual, with strong emotional intelligence, superior analytical skills and unimpeachable ethics. The Director must be adept at creating and maintaining cross-departmental relationships, monitoring and disseminating information, and functioning in a dynamic environment. The role has a high degree of visibility and requires judgement, discretion, diplomacy, political acumen and positive attitude.

Serve as senior advisor and member of the CFO's leadership team.
Provide executive-level administrative leadership and strategic advisory support to the CFO, ensuring seamless operations and informed decision-making.
Resolve problems independently. Act as a primary point of contact & resource for those requiring assistance from the CFO.
Perform highly sensitive and confidential administrative work.
Serve as liaison with university offices, schools and colleges, Trustees, and external constituencies with the ability to effectively and professionally communicate and execute as needed.
Ensure effective internal communication by coordinating the dissemination of policies and procedures and facilitating alignment and collaboration with the CFO leadership team.
Prepare/write comprehensive memos, agendas, talking points and research materials to support the CFO strategic objectives.
Act as a liaison with the Chancellor's Office and Chancellor's Executive Team.
Foster and maintain an inclusive, service-oriented culture within the organization, promoting collaboration and excellence.
Ensure the decisions and policies of the CFO are implemented and executed.
Manage, review, and track all signature requests for the CFO, one of five authorized signers for the University.
Ensure timely processing and adherence to established approval protocols.
Sign routine Purchase Requisitions on behalf of CFO using independent judgement, ensuring accuracy and compliance with university policies.
Participate as a critical team member in the preparation of Board of Trustees materials.
Conduct operational analysis and propose solutions to enhance administrative workflows and processes for coordination with CFO leadership, Chancellor, Board of Trustees Chair, members and administrative office.
Manage the daily operations of the Office of the CFO including supervision of staff, calendar management, travel arrangements, annual planning calendar and other necessary organizational activities.
Use independent judgement and analysis in assessing the urgency of problems and questions from university departments and external stakeholders for response, triage, or elevation.
Oversee and manage space requests and office relocations, ensuring optimal use of organizational resources.
Identify, recommend and implement process improvements to enhance operational efficiency and effectiveness.
Manage financial processes for the office. Act as CFO's delegate for various approvals.
Oversee and manage the CFO office budget.
Serve as the primary liaison with Human Resources and Payroll for all personnel-related matters.
Manage the search process for new hires and participate in search committees.
Oversee and ensure compliance for annual compensation increases and performance partnerships.
Perform Crouse-Hinds Hall Building Manager duties, including liaison with DPS Welcome Desk staff, building maintenance, information emails, and security.
Independently approve access for enhanced security building adhering to procedures and protocols.
