Rutgers, The State University of New Jersey is seeking a Sr Program Coordinator (Alumni Relations) for the Mason Gross School of Arts. Reporting directly to the Director of Development in MGSA Development Office, the position is primarily responsible for designing, implementing, and managing an alumni engagement program and outreach, as well as qualifying and stewarding a small portfolio of donors, marketing and communications, and department administrative operations.
Among the key duties of the position are the following:
Creates and manages an alumni council, identifies and engages alumnus, and creates programs to enrich relationships with alumni.
Develops and maintains alumni database, tracking engagement and meeting metrics established in collaboration with the Director of Development.
Establishes relationships with a small portfolio of donors from qualifying new prospects to stewardship activities
Main point person for all department events from ideation to implementation
Assists Director with plans for annual giving appeals, e-communications, social media, website updates, and other marketing/promotion activities
Represents MGSA as a liaison with multiple stakeholders, including and not limited to, faculty, staff, students, alumni, and external community.
Must be able to multitasks in a fast-paced, stakeholder-focused environment with an understanding of the mission, vision, role, and goals of the Department, MGSA, and RU, and the role the tasks and responsibilities of this position play in the achievement of these goals.
Minimum Education and Experience:
Requires a bachelor's degree preferably in marketing, business, public relations, communication, or a related field, or an equivalent combination of education and/or experience.
Requires a minimum of two years relevant experience in alumni relations engagement, program development, and/or outreach.

Position regularly uses MS Office Suite, AWA Advance (migrating to Salesforce in last 2023), Signals, Tableau, Cornerstone, Marketplace, Blackboard, Qualtrics, Discoverer, Expense Management, ROCS, RAPSS, Researcher's Dashboard, HCM, industry-standard software; and any and all systems MGSA and/or Rutgers University (RU) uses for alumni relations, fundraising, budget management, office administration, scholarship administration, gift management and accounting, expense reimbursement, personnel management, and the equipment, software, and specialized materials needed to support the effective and efficient performance of this position.
Physical Demands and Work Environment:
Works in fast-paced, deadline-driven, customer service-focused environment.
Must be able to lift objects weighing up to 20 pounds for events setup and breakdown.
Special Conditions:
Must be able to travel and work evenings and weekends as needed.
