The Community Connections Coordinator plays a pivotal role in fostering positive relationships with our member-owners and driving economic growth within our community. This position blends strategic communication, stakeholder engagement, and economic development initiatives to support our cooperative’s mission and vision.
Bachelor’s degree in Community Relations, Economic Development, Business Administration, Public Relations, or a related field; or equivalent combination of education and experience. Master's degree preferred.
Minimum of 1-3 years of experience in community relations, economic development, public relations, or related field. Knowledge of rural communities, economic development principles, and cooperative business model preferred.
Must be able to identify with and support the cooperative method of distribution of electrical energy. Must be interested in working with other people. Must promote professional appearance and mannerisms.
Must be competent in operation of simple office equipment. Must have strong interpersonal and communications skills, with the ability to effectively engage and collaborate with diverse groups. Must demonstrate project management skills and ability to manage multiple priorities with attention to detail. Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with proficiency in crafting clear and compelling messages. Strategic thinker with the ability to analyze data and trends to inform decision-making. Project management skills with the ability to prioritize tasks and manage multiple projects simultaneously. Ability to work independently as well as collaboratively within a team environment. Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and experience with CRM software preferred.
Primarily inside work with physical requirements of lifting up to 25 pounds occasionally. Job requires sitting, standing, walking, and repetitive motions with hands and fingers such as dialing and typing.
