This is an hourly position ($24.16) that is eligible for overtime and premium pay.

Athletic communications coordinator is responsible for assisting with the execution of the media and public relations plans for 27-sport intercollegiate Division I programs.
Responsible for overall operations of goairforcefalcons.com for sports assigned.
Serves are primary media relations contact for Baseball, Women's soccer and Swimming and select other sports with responsibilities that include, but are not limited to, working as the primary liaison with media relations contacts; writing press releases, championship preparation and coverage; and administering athletic (regular and postseason); academic awards programs in those sports; reporting to conference and national offices.
Lead efforts on social media platforms (Twitter, Facebook, Instagram, etc.) for selected sports.
Design and edit record books, media guides, programs and flyers using Adobe Creative Suites, including InDesign and Photoshop.
Create original content for the official website goairforcefalcons.com and various social media platforms, including, but not limited to, writing feature stories, Q&As and more. May be required to travel on military and commercial aircraft to perform temporary duty.

This position requires the incumbent to be able to work irregular tours of duty to include days, nights, weekends, and holidays, in addition to possible travel with athletic teams.
This position requires the incumbent to be able to lift up to 50 lbs.
Must have bachelor's degree in communications, journalism or related field (sports management), plus at least two years of experience working in athletic media relations/public relations field at collegiate (NCAA) or professional level.
