The Coordinator, Registration assists and reports to the Assistant Registrar. This position supports the Office the Registrar, specifically in the areas of registration and course scheduling by ensuring the functionality of the assigned area?s operations and services as related to any assigned program, initiative, or objective. Works under general supervision and may make some work procedural decisions which do not contravene policies.
Maintains an understanding of course and room scheduling and University policies, regulations, and procedures, answering questions about functionality and usability and directing users to appropriate University resources as necessary.
Monitors and processes course scheduling exceptions.
Processes course additions, deletions, and changes and room scheduling in Banner.
Assists with training as needed.
Collaborates with colleagues and participates as an active member on University and office committees as assigned.
Understand, maintain, and operate in programs such as 25Live, Banner, and CourseLeaf CIM.
Assists departments with course scheduling software and troubleshooting.
Assists the Assistant Registrar with the planning and timeline of new initiatives and projects based on university and office goals.
Leads and coordinates special projects as assigned.
Understands procedures and systems related to registration functions providing support to internal and external stakeholders as needed.
Work collaboratively within the Registration team, engaging in ongoing communication and information sharing.
Conducts auditing for course guideline compliance.
Investigates and resolves discrepancies that arise between CourseLeaf CIM and Banner.
Maintain registration communications and documentation (internally and externally).
Handle highly confidential student information in accordance with federal and state laws, university policies, and established procedures.
Ensure secure handling and dissemination of sensitive data.
Represents the Assistant Register at meetings and events as needed.
Collaborates with other Office of the Registrar staff to facilitate communication and registration of special programs including high school programs and the College for the Over 60 program.
Works with the Office of Academic Affairs on the auditing, troubleshooting, and publication of the University Catalog.
Coordinates new and continuing course information on the student information system, Ellucian Banner, and CourseLeaf CIM.
Assists Assistant Registrar with documenting academic senate approved policy in CourseLeaf CAT.
Aids in the facilitation, collection, organization, and submission for National Student Clearinghouse files and Selective Service reporting related to the Office of the Registrar.
Responsible for participating in National Student Clearinghouse meetings and trainings related to submission as necessary.

Knowledge of: University policies and procedures*; office practices and procedures*; FERPA; records management; office management; project management; public relations; administrative practices and procedures; English grammar and composition; arithmetic that includes addition, subtraction, multiplication and division; unit-specific office practices and procedures*; Ellucian Banner and CourseLeaf software.
Skill in: Use of office equipment; typing, data entry; computer operation; use of computer software and other programs applicable to the assigned department/division*; aptitude for technology; interpersonal skills, public speaking, flexibility, active listening, positive attitude.
Ability to: Work independently and follow through on assignments with minimal direction; manage largescale projects over an extended period and work efficiently in a fast-paced environment; collect data, establish facts, and draw valid conclusions; determine material and equipment needs; compile and prepare reports; use proper research methods to gather data; understand a variety of written and/or verbal communications; maintain records according to established procedures; effectively interact with personnel and public to answer routine questions; train or instruct others; move quickly and effectively from one tasks to another; develop and maintain effective working relationships.

Minimum Qualifications: Bachelor?s degree in a related field; six months of related experience.
Preferred Qualifications: Master?s degree; one year experience in registration area or relational database management and understanding; documented experience with project management; experience with higher education curriculum.
