The Director for Government and External Relations will interact with local, state and federal legislative bodies and government agencies to represent and advance the University of Idaho and the College of Agricultural and Life Sciences (CALS). This position builds relationships that maintain an effective network to increase the level of funding, advocacy and other support for scholarly, creative and Extension activity from state and corporate sources while increasing the stature of CALS.Internally, this position works in close collaboration with senior college and university leadership, University Research and Economic Development and government affairs staff, college advancement, and agricultural research and extension colleagues statewide.
