Minimum Qualifications/Requirements:
Associates degree plus two years of related experience, OR a bachelors degree, OR any equivalent combination of education and experience. Related education must be from a regionally accredited institution of higher education in business, communications, public relations, or a related field.
Ability to travel to businesses, schools and other community contact locations independently.
Demonstrated experience using a personal computer, office software such as MS Office and electronic mail.
Requires a valid state drivers license.
Requires a successful completion of a background check.
Demonstrated ability to:
Communicate effectively, both orally and in writing.
Establish and maintain effective working relationships with faculty, staff, students, partner organizations and the public.
Work in a fast-paced, demanding environment.
Preferred Qualifications:
Summary of Duties: The admissions representative will create awareness and promote Central Ohio Technical College (COTC) and will often serve as the first impression for the college through event engagement. Admissions representatives will respond to inquiries related to a wide variety of areas across the college, including, but not limited to academic program offerings, financial aid, student life, and applying and enrolling at COTC. This position will manage a recruitment territory, including all recruiting and conversion activities, and coordinate college representation within area schools, agencies, businesses, and industry for recruitment purposes. Admissions representatives will use and leverage technology and resources to assist and document an incoming students enrollment path from inquiry to enrollment in the online student orientation.
Location: Newark
Work Hours: Monday through Friday 8:00am to 5:00pm. Evenings and weekends are required as needed.
