Job Description
Directs, leads and oversees administrative operations of The Ohio State University State of Ohio Adversity and Resilience (SOAR), a multisite, multistakeholder longitudinal study of Ohio families that includes community, academic and state partners; actively collaborates with SOAR senior leadership (Drs. Phan, King) in strategic planning activities to determine and establish the direction and administration of SOAR operations; plans, directs and oversees all administrative and business operations, as well as the establishment and provision of SOAR study activities, logistics and personnel; investigates, determines, establishes and oversees pricing and billing of activities and contracts; develops and implements standardized operating procedures for all SOAR member institutions to ensure standard and consistent operations of all SOAR protocol sites; develops, establishes, administers and enforces adherence to SOAR policies and procedures; continually monitors and evaluates study sites and status of data acquisition, coordinates with sites by providing feedback on tracking and data quality, collaborates with (Research Information Technology) RIT and CHRR in data tracking and data quality; identifies, develops and establishes new or revised approaches to improve quality of data flows; collaborates with SOAR and OMHAS senior leadership in developing, writing and preparation of business proposals or specialized grants to secure additional funding in support of SOAR operations; provides administrative and logistical advice and direction related to SOAR operations and support to researchers during the planning of new, additional scientific protocols; directs, monitors and ensures biospecimen and biobanking collaborators are in compliance with CAP (College of American Pathologists) and CLIA (Clinical Laboratory Improvement Amendments) regulations; serves as liaison to OSU Government Advisory staff within the Deans office; oversees hiring and staff training logistics, and works with technical supervisors to assure staff readiness to implement procedures and ensure operations align to the overall SOAR technical model and standards; serves as a primary liaison and partner to state representatives, through departmental leadership, OSU WMC government relations.
Minimum Experience Required
Bachelors Degree in Biological Sciences, Health Sciences, Social Sciences or other medical field, or equivalent combination of education experience required. 7 years of relevant experience required. 12 or more years of relevant experience preferred.
Minimum Education Required
Bachelor's Level Degree or equivalent combination of education and experience aligned with business or health administration, communications, scientific administration or equivalent.
Additional Education Desired
Master's Degree or equivalent combination of education and experience
