Detailed Description: This is a part-time temporary, non-benefit based position with an anticipated end date of December 31, 2023.
The coordinator will provide general event support to USD School of Law's Development and Alumni Relations and Event Services Departments.
The coordinator serves in the capacity of support for the Development and Alumni Relations and Event Services functions to execute project-specific tasks as assigned. Exercises confidentiality, discretion, judgment and uses tact/diplomacy on a regular basis. Expected to demonstrate initiative, dependability, and accuracy. Must be able to efficiently perform multiple projects.
Duties and Responsibilities:
Data management and maintenance
Assist with planning and execution of law school-sponsored special events including alumni events, law school conferences, continuing education seminars, speakers, special guest dinners and/or receptions, meetings, and other involvement events
Coordinate logistics including, but not limited to identifying and reserving venues, negotiating contracts, room setups, audiovisual equipment, and other arrangements as necessary
Arrange for and manage outside vendors
Coordinate registration logistics including, but not limited to creating and managing online registration, tracking RSVPs, entering attendance, tracking event expenses, etc.
Assist with creating MyPostings, event marketing materials, and electronic/printed invitations
Manage and maintain event websites
Staff law school-sponsored special events (i.e. check in, onsite event contact, etc.)
Conduct post event analysis to suggest future changes and identify opportunities for cost savings and increased attendance
Photo editing and visual design
Assist with faculty public relations and law school media relations

Job Requirements: Minimum Qualifications:
Bachelors degree required
Minimum of two (2) years of experience in a professional working environment required; high degree of external contact preferred
Minimum of intermediate-to-high achievement with Microsoft Office, Google Drive, and graphic design platforms such as Canva, Be Funky, Photoshop, and/or Indesign
This position is required to be present at some special events, which may be scheduled outside standard business hours
Preferred Qualifications:
Experience in a higher-education setting is preferred

Contributes to and supports a harmonious work environment where teamwork and collaboration with all areas of the law school and university are essential
Ability and desire to work in a multi-faceted, fast-paced environment with a high degree of professionalism
Posting Salary: $24.99 - $25.00 per hour
The salary range provided in this posting reflects what we reasonably expect to pay for this position. Actual compensation offered or earned is dependent on experience, education and other factors including departmental budget.
