Required Skill/ability 2:
Excellent interpersonal skills. Ability to work with a diverse student body, faculty, staff, other university constituents, and external organizations.
Required Skill/ability 3: Ability to create and sustain an environment of mutual respect, while learning about differences in our community to support responsible and inclusive work and learning environments for faculty, staff, and students. Ability to handle stressful, challenging situations, and create thoughtful, fair, and institutionally aligned responses.
Required Skill/ability 4: Expertise, knowledge, and facility with best practices in DEIB. Excellent organizational and planning skills. Adaptability, including being comfortable with ambiguity and change. Capable of representing YSPH's DEIB programs in multiple contexts.
Required Skill/ability 5: Proficiency with Windows and Microsoft products - Word, Excel, Outlook, and PowerPoint. Knowledge of web-based applications and social media platforms.
Preferred Education: Terminal degree. Experience with DEIB in higher education. Familiarity with restorative justice practices. Experience in facilitating workshops on Implicit Bias, Microaggressions, or ability to become a certified trainer in these areas. Ability to fulfill the National Association of Diversity Officers in Higher Education (NADOHE)'s Standards.
Work Week: Standard (M-F equal number of hours per day)
