The Program Assistant is the first point of contact for students, staff, parents and community partners who are accessing Wellbeing and Flourishing services. The role requires discretion and critical thinking skills to manage sensitive situations and complex incidents. The Program Assistant supervises student staff members and provides administrative support for up to 10 full-time professional staff. The Program Assistant plays a vital role in building and supporting members of the Wellbeing and Flourishing team and creating a mission-based environment that values collaboration, teamwork, well-being, and is responsive to an increasingly more diverse generation of Gonzaga students whose needs are evolving.
Minimum Qualifications:
Professional office experience.
Proficiency with technological tools such as Microsoft Office Suite, Canva and Adobe —Detail oriented and display professional demeanor and office appearance.
Demonstrated written and oral skills.
Demonstrated ability to relate to and work efficiently with diverse group s from a variety of identities and backgrounds.
Ability to multitask and work independently, while employing discretion.
Skill in creating systems and processes that maintain order, efficiency, and quality control
Strong interpersonal, communication, and public relations skills, including the ability to communicate effectively with multiple audiences.
Demonstrated ability to function effectively in a fast-paced and dynamic working environment while promoting a sense of calm.
