The USC Annenberg School for Communication and Journalism seeks to hire a grant-funded Administrative Budget Assistant (ABA) to provide support for the "Voces de las Abuelas" NEH grant (50%) and the Center on Public Diplomacy (50%).
Job Responsibilities:
To support the "Voces de las Abuelas" NEH grant, the Administrative Budget Assistant (ABA) will coordinate all post-production including making travel arrangements, creating a post-production schedule, arranging equipment rental, ordering catering, and other grant related expenditures. Â The ABA will reconcile grant related travel reimbursements for crew and staff, schedule meetings, and coordinate with grant vendors and stakeholders including the colorist, sound editor, animation team, and editor.
To support the Center on Public Diplomacy (CPD), the ABA will assist with budget preparation for grants and proposals, processes payroll for faculty, staff and students, and monitor payroll activity. The ABA will also monitor expenditures for intercampus and external vendors and prepare, processes and/or reviews paperwork, e.g., department orders and check requests, requisitions and other budget and business forms. Â In addition, the ABA will perform administrative duties associated with scheduling and coordinating meetings and planning events, as well as assist with office administration, operations, and other activities at CPD as needed.Â

University budget experience, knowledge of university financial systems and USC policies and procedures

This is a full-time, grant-funded staff position.
The hourly range for this position is $22.50 - $23.50.
