To plan, execute, and administer conference and event services at Lake Campus on behalf of faculty, staff, student organizations, and community members. To serve as a primary liaison for on-campus clients planning events and for community members who contract for services including facilities, catering, and equipment. To assist student leaders in planning, organizing and monitoring events, activities & programs, including oversight of an activities budget.
Required Qualifications::
Bachelor's degree in Business or related field.
A minimum of one year demonstrating event management, student engagement, marketing, and/or recruitment experience, preferably in higher education.
Experience working with diverse population.
Strong interpersonal, public speaking, writing, detail oriented, and organizational skills.
Strong customer service motto.
Self-motivated.
Knowledge in planning and scheduling software, such as Ad Astra, or BANNER.Experience with database
Preferred Qualifications::

Essential Functions and percent of time::
(35%) Conference and Event Planning/Logistics/Implementation: -Collaborates with faculty, staff, student organizations, and community members to plan conferences and events. Executes initiatives by developing concepts, goals, objectives, budgets, and final outcomes. Plans, conducts and participates in planning committee meetings to provide leadership, support, and direction.
-Assist the Director of Student Affairs with the coordination and implementation of the Lake Campus Commencement Ceremony.
-Supervises event execution including set-up and breakdown. Addresses issues and concerns raised by event organizers and staff. Identify and elevate risk management issues that arise with the planning and execution of a meeting or event. Monitors compliance of procedures, policies, guidelines and internal processes to facilitate continued improvement and identify opportunities for efficiencies during planning and execution of events/conferences.
-Develops and oversees budgets for conferences and individual events, as well as student activities. Manages discretionary funds for campus-wide events. Delivers timely, comprehensive and accurate financial reports to planning committees. Processes invoices related to events and ensures payment collection.
-Hire, train and oversee student employees who are assisting with events, conferences & student activities.
-Utilizes various specialized scheduling tools such as Ad Astra and the Wings Express calendar, to reserve space/service and publish a Weekly Event Schedule as well as room schedules.
(35%) Student Involvement & Activities
-Plans, organizes, coordinates and supervises recreational and social activities for the campus community. Includes, but not limited to idea creation, scheduling, and promoting.
-Oversees budgets and monetary transactions for all student activities.
-Develop marketing strategies to promote campus activities and services to maximize student involvement.
-Acts as a liason between students and appropriate staff/faculty related to student activities.
-Maintains communication with students to create activities that are desired and well attended.
(15%) Marketing, Social Media & Event Promotion:
- Plans, coordinates and supervises the preparation and dissemination of publications related to student events, activities, and intramurals. Create and edit promotional materials including social media posts, handouts, posters, literature and other materials related to student activities.
- Monitors and updates bulletin boards on campus that are available for campus & community event and opportunity promotion.
-Assist with the management of all Lake Campus social media sites including, but not limited to, Sprout Social, Facebook, Twitter, Flickr, Instagram, Snapchat and more.

Diversity, Equity & Inclusion
- Oversight of a committee mission and vision which aims to foster diversity among students, faculty, staff, and community by cultivating and promoting inclusiveness, awareness, and acceptance. -Develop relationships with local non-profit organizations related to diversity topics. -Conduct continuous research on pertinent DEI issues aimed specifically at the Wright State University- Lake Campus student population. -Raise Funds/apply for grants for hosting related events/activities. -Develop, offer, and continue to update an entry-level diversity training workshop to serve the Lake Campus and community populations. -Coordinate additional programming as available through local resources or in collaboration with Wright State's Office of LGBTQA Affairs, University Center for International Education, Office of Disability Services, etc.

Working Conditions::
This position is located at Lake Campus in Celina, OH.
Must have the ability to work under pressure in a fast-paced environment and to meet deadlines. Some weekends and evening hours may be required. Some physical labor in event set-up and planning, such as moving chairs, tables, etc. Experience with and understanding of technology (digital projection, sound systems, microphones, etc.).
