Basic Function:  Serves as educational and community leader and chief administrator of the assigned 9-12 school with coordination of all school objectives, the instructional program, department chair people, teacher and staff assignments and evaluations;  complex student activities; school plant operations and maintenance; school's attendance area.  Distinguishing Characteristics: The Principal 9-12 is expected both to communicate and listen so that the goals of the school reflect the needs and interests of the school's attendance area which it serves. The Comprehensive High School Principal is expected to know the parents and community and interpret it to the District administrators in an accurate and valid manner.  Contri
