Bachelor's degree required; Master's degree preferred. Minimum of seven years of successful coaching experience on the NCAA intercollegiate level required; head coaching experience preferred; Division I experience preferred. Commitment to academic integrity and to NCAA, conference and University policies required.

Key Responsibilities & Accountabilities:

• Academic Commitment: Work collaboratively with Student-Athlete Support Services staff to support appropriate academic goals for student-athletes. Enforce/support rules regarding academic performance. | Cooperate with department staff and faculty on academic matters.
• Personal, Professional, and Administrative Abilities: Present positive role model for student-athletes and program | Exhibit ethical behavior and demonstrate self-confidence and spirit. | Maintain emotional control under stress. | Prioritize values, principles and student-athlete health and wellness
• Program Management: Adhere to all NCAA, conference and University policies and procedures when recruiting. | Demonstrate effective utilization of scholarship funds and monitor use. Communicate effectively with staff and student-athletes | Motivate athletes and instill a positive attitude with them and staff
• Public Relation & Fundraising Skills: Promote community involvement/service within program. | Support and actively participate in fund-raising opportunities.
• Training & Techniques of Coaching: Apply knowledge of skills, techniques and rules of the sport. | Assist athletes in maximizing their potential. | Demonstrate the ability to evaluate performance and correct as needed. | Develop positive team spirit and morale. | Enforce team rules, maintain consistent discipline appropriately.
