The Director, will engage, cultivate, solicit and steward current and prospective donors in an assigned portfolio. The Director will qualify capacity, build rapport and identify philanthropic interests as part of donor strategy to close on major gifts and planned gifts. The Director will implement fundraising strategies to close on major gifts throughout the fiscal year and ensure donors know the impact of their philanthropy.
Additionally, the Director will serve as a liaison to service lines to foster collaboration and trust with physicians and leadership through engagement and strategic development of service line priorities.
WHAT IS EXPECTED (Essential Functions):
Develop ongoing relationships with current donors and new prospects in order to secure gifts and meet or exceed an annual fundraising goal.
Serve as liaison to assigned Foundation Board members and assigned select hospital boards.
Leverage and enhance donor and prospect experience, utilize database management and manage total portfolio to achieve financial and non-financial goals.
Grateful patient discovery.
Performs other position appropriate duties as required in a competent, professional and courteous manner.
KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS, and ABILITIES
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills required, coupled with a high-level of emotional intelligence.

Ability to lead and direct key stakeholders, inside and outside of the Foundation.
Knowledge of proposal writing.
Prior experience in health care or general non-profits preferred.
Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience and 5 plus years of experience in major gift fundraising preferred.
General knowledge of sales, public relations, management, and fundraising.
Understanding and ability to work with data, projects, facilitate meetings, volunteer management, word-processing and spreadsheets. Basic working knowledge of Microsoft Office computer systems including Microsoft 365 and the ability to learn client data management platform.
