The Opportunity Embry-Riddle Aeronautical University is seeking an Assistant Men's Soccer Coach to join the Athletics family. Embry-Riddle Men's Soccer competes at the NCAA Division II level and is part of the Sunshine State Conference.
The Assistant Men's Soccer Coach will assist in directing the intercollegiate Men's Soccer program. Responsibilities include:
Provide instruction to men’s soccer student-athletes on the fundamentals and strategies of soccer.
Assist in recruiting and retaining highly skilled student-athletes for the men’s soccer team.
Actively support and promote the NCAA’s Life in the Balance strategic positioning platform, embracing the six ideals of learning, balance, resourcefulness, sportsmanship, passion and service.
Assist in monitoring the academic progress of all men’s soccer team members.
1-3 years coaching experience.
Required Skills, Knowledge, Abilities
Excellent communication skills, both written and oral.
Strong organizational skills.
Requires the ability to establish and maintain cooperative working relationships with a diverse group of constituencies.
Knowledge, understanding, and ability to instruct sport-specific skills, techniques, and strategies.
Ability to lead, motivate, develop, recruit, and coach student-athletes at the collegiate level.
Understanding of the NCAA bylaws, rules and regulations.
