Normal Work Schedule: Monday-Friday 8:00am to 4:45pm
Job Summary: Identify, cultivate, solicit and steward major gift prospects for The University of Alabama. This position will work with individuals, corporations, and foundations in building relationships in support of academic and institutional priorities.
Additional Department Summary: Triad reporting structure to the Office of Development, the Dean of the School of Social Work and the Dean of the College of Community Health Sciences.
Required Minimum Qualifications: Bachelor's degree and three (3) years of professional experience in development, fundraising, sales, communications, or public relations; Master's degree and one (1) year of professional experience in development, fundraising, sales, communications, or public relations. Frequent travel required.
Additional Required Department Minimum Qualifications: Must have valid U.S. driver's license. Must be at least 19 years of age at time of hire and have an acceptable Motor Vehicle Report that is in compliance with University policies. Applicants under the age of 21 will have some driving restrictions
Skills and Knowledge: Good public relations, oral and written communications, excellent organizational skills, and excellent interpersonal skills required. Ability to use personal computer for word processing and standard software packages.
Preferred Qualifications: Prefer experience in alumni relations and development, and/or experience with databases to track alumni. Three (3) years of experience in fundraising preferred.
