Responsible for development activities including prospect and donor identification, cultivation and solicitation of philanthropic gifts, donor acknowledgement, and recognition for individual donors.
Executes all areas of the fundraising cycle from identification to stewardship including planning, development and implementation of fundraising plans and initiatives.
Cultivates donors and prospects by identifying engagement opportunities, events, and messaging platforms.
In collaboration with Associate VP of Development and major gift teams, this role assists in the creation and implementation of fundraising strategies that lead to solicitation.
Solicit, maintain and steward a portfolio of donors whose gifts range from $1000 to $50,000 annually, through personal visits, phone conversations, and email contacts.
Cultivate relationships with people in this giving segment to move them toward larger commitments by providing personalized attention, appreciation, and information on programs of their interest.
Manages the stewardship and plans for each donor.
Ensures that all donor interactions are tracked in database and that recognition, appreciation, and communication plans are executed.
Grow donor’s gifts and screen for major and planned giving prospects.
Identifies donors through network development and program team relationships to build the pipeline for low to mid-level donors.
Develops and maintains donor prospect lists, segmentations and engagement timelines.
Develops and maintains a comprehensive "Moves Management" calendar.

Ability to maintain timely and complete record of activities, results, and planned follow up to discussions
Excellent written and verbal communication skills, including the computer skills of Microsoft Office Suite, Google apps, and Banner
Ability to adapt and pivot to a changing environment embracing new challenges while performing with excellence
Strong analytical skills with the ability to quickly and regularly adjust strategy based on giving trends
Strategic thinking with the capability of working both independently & collaboratively seeing individual tasks to completion
Project oriented with the ability to handle multiple projects simultaneously and executing deadlines under pressure
Experienced in database segmentation with keen understanding and ability to market BU to different audiences
Preferred experience focused on building relationships with donors or sales or an aptitude to do this type of work. Management experience would be a plus.
