Position Summary and Key Responsibilities (Essential Functions):
This position has a primary role associated with travel and communication. It is one of several such positions that exist within a larger department that is devoted to ensuring and enhancing regular, effective communication and relationship with all the colleges and universities with which we partner. The Associate Director will work closely with other departments to fulfill this central task.

Collaborate with other department members to create and to execute an annual college and university partnership plan.
Regularly communicate – in person (i.e., onsite visits; see travel section below) and remotely – with all college and university partners that are assigned.
Coordinate relevant details (e.g., partner meetings; travel; hotel; car rentals) regarding onsite visits to colleges and universities.
Execute strategies and tactics that are critical to achieving annual college and university partnership goals.
Develop new college and university partnerships based on information culled by other team members.
Represent Portage Learning at conferences, meetings, and workshops.
Keep accurate and up to date contact information with college and university partners in the company’s CRM.
Track interest in potential course offerings from colleges and universities and inform the Curriculum Development team.
Participate in a semi-annual and annual review, outlining personal goals and objectives needed for personal growth and success within the company.
Regularly and heartily engage with other members of the company to accomplish its goals and to strengthen its culture.
Perform other related duties as assigned.

This job operates in a professional office environment. This role routinely uses standard office equipment such as computers, phones, photocopiers, projectors, filing cabinets and fax machines.

Position Type and Expected Hours of Work:
This is a full-time position. Days and hours of work are typically 8:30 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. When not traveling, the expectation is that the associate director will work from the company’s office, located in Chippewa Township, PA a minimum of 80% of normal working hours. If the person holding the position is residing outside the Chippewa Township office area, an additional three-day trip to the office will be required every month for company staff and team meetings.
This job requires regular travel, typically to multiple states for overnight trips. Travel to assigned colleges and universities regularly includes the equivalent of two weeks every month, Monday through Thursday, or as business needs arise. Travel on one or more days of a weekend may also occur occasionally.

*Portage Learning is hiring two people for the ADSR position for the following locations: Chippewa office, Florida/Southeast, Chicago, Texas, and/ or California. The persons hired for this position can reside in any of these locations. If this person is residing outside the Chippewa office location, he or she will be required to travel to the Chippewa office every month in addition to standardized travel expectations.
