The team serves as a center of excellence and a general resource for the college.Duties and Tasks: The purpose of this position is to:Design and develop content including images, graphics and videos for social media use.Identify, respond and resolve any concerns/inquiries that come through direct messages or comments on the social accounts.Proactively identify any brand reputation threats to the college by monitoring the social media accounts and taking necessary steps to mitigate any problems or concerns.
Required KSAs:Strong collaboration skills.Proven ability to manage a brand or organizationâ™s social presence across platforms and successfully engage fans and followers.Knowledge of latest Internet trends, business models, social media policies and web/SEO technologies.A high degree of professionalism and the ability to work successfully within a cross functional team and members of NOVAâ™s wider community.Excellent written and oral English communication skills, editing, Web, social networking and marketing knowledge.Ability to effectively manage multiple priorities.A goal-oriented multi-tasker.Must be proficient at working in a team environment.Basic working knowledge of Microsoft (PC) office applications, HTML, CSS, Photoshop, and Dreamweaver.Knowledge of content management systems (CMS).Knowledge of AP Stylebook guidelines and Web products, such as Facebook, Instagram, Twitter, YouTube, TikTok and Sprout Social along with how to best use them as marketing tools to promote the College.Working knowledge of Adobe Premiere and Adobe After Effects, or equivalent design software.Minimum Qualifications:Undergraduate degree (BSc/BA) in communications, social media, journalism, or marketing or related field or equivalent to experience/training or combination of both education and experience/training.Significant experience in promoting educational programs and services.
