This position serves as a Media Specialist on a project related to the ongoing COVID-19 pandemic, entitled "Leveraging Social Networks and Trusted Influencers to disseminate an accurate and up-to-date understanding of COVID-19 in Black, Latinx and American Indian Communities"
The project seeks to create and organize a forum for collaborative teams of University scientists, a media specialist and Community Influencers to translate scientific findings into lay language; create content for social media and print materials; and disseminate COVID-19 Information Products to targeted communities in Wisconsin. The Media Specialist provides support with digital and print communication and campaign management, increasing the influencers' reach, and maximizing the effectiveness of their messages.

Responsibilities:
Develops and drafts communication content and assists in the execution of the communications strategy in support of unit communication goals.
25% Monitors reach and effectiveness of communication campaigns, projects, and initiatives
10% Plans editorial content according to established goals and objects
10% Communicates with stakeholders to verify requests and identify editorial resources
10% Writes, edits, and publishes content for various communication projects and marketing platforms to align with strategic initiatives and established communication campaigns
25% Provides project management and execution of communications programs, initiatives, and tactical plans
15% Works with influencers to create content for marketing platforms that promote healing and engagement within their communities
5% Provides training and resources to the influencers to improve their communication and media creation skills for initiatives and projects
