Job Description:
- Writes for a broad range of audiences; develops strategy and content for the Centerâ™s Social media identities; manages event promotion; and helps lead and manage web assets, marketing campaigns, print production, and overall external relations and community engagement.
- Part of a fast-paced, highly collaborative administrative team focused on advancing the work of the Center during an important period of growth. Â
- Develops, plans, and disseminates information designed to keep the public informed of the organization's programs, accomplishments, or point of view.
- Solves moderate to complex problems related to the writing, preparation, and/or delivery of information from or about the unit.
- Performs other related work as needed.
Preferred Qualifications
Education:
- Bachelorâ™s degree in psychology, communications, journalism or other relevant discipline.
Experience:
- Experience synthesizing complex research and translating it for a broad array of audiences.
Preferred Competencies
- Broad knowledge and first-hand experience managing, producing, and evaluating a range of digital and print communications: website management, social media creation and management, direct email campaigns, paid digital campaigns, and print publications.
- Proven success managing the work of research assistants and external vendors. Â
- Strong ability to write quickly and with accuracy for a wide range of audiences, including faculty, administrators, reporters, and the general public.
- Interact with multiple stakeholders across a multi-tiered university, including faculty, students, staff, and senior administrators.
- Desire and enthusiasm to interface with the general public and serve as ambassador for the CDR.
- Maintains effective communication with all members of the faculty and external institutions.
- Good organizational skills and attention to detail.
