SUMMARY OF POSITION: Reporting to the Director of Athletics, the Creative Service Intern will through a courteous, helpful, unbiased and professional manner coordinate and oversee all aspects of the video department at Converse University. The Creative Service Intern will be directly responsible for the production of all social media video content, video board content (graphics & videos) and video broadcasting at Converse University. This paid opportunity is made possible by the Division II Ethnic Minorities and Women's Internship Grant and includes annual compensation and professional development opportunities. This is a 10-month internship with an anticipated start date of August 1st, 2022. Priority will be given to applications received by June 17, 2022.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES/ NON-ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
Video Content/Video Board/Photography - 70%
- Provide daily project management for the creative team consisting of photography, videography, graphic design and digital content on videoboard and social media.
- Schedule, coordinate and art direct all photo/videoshoots.
- Serves as the department's key expert on Formetco technology and trends that support content on videoboard.
- Oversee graphic design, while working with our Athletic Communication team to define brand look-and-feel on a seasonal basis.
- Organize and implement new media (social profiles, profile setup, etc.) for the Athletic Department as directed by Director of Athletics/Deputy Director of Athletics/Director of Communications.
- Supervise game day workers and support staff with related duties.
- Assists with coordination of publicity for all varsity sports programs
- Upkeeps the athletic portion of the college's website for all video content services
- Work in conjunction with our Athletic Communication team and University Marketing Department to respect and expertly communicate brand guidelines and logo usage. Uphold all branding guidelines and identity standards.
- Strategically develop visual assets to support and enhance videoboard, social media, digital content and general organizational branding.
ADDITIONAL (30%)
- Assist the Athletics Diversity and Inclusion Designee with monthly Diversity, Equity, and Inclusion programming for staff and student-athletes.
- Assist the Advisor for the Student-Athlete Advisory Committee with regular meetings, community service, and campus and community initiatives.
- Other duties as assigned by the Director of Athletics/Deputy Director of Athletics.
JOB QUALIFICATIONS:
Minimum qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree
- Work experience in a related field
- Experience Adobe Premier Pro, Adobe After Effects, Adobe Photoshop and Adobe Light Room
- Experience in working with photos and video cameras, microphones and lighting techniques.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Work or volunteer experience within an intercollegiate athletic department
- Demonstrable success achieving goals within an inclusive team setting
- Strong interpersonal skills
- Proven experience in organizational communications
Knowledge/Skills/Abilities:
Video Content/Video Board
- Must have knowledge of Adobe Premier Pro and Adobe After Effects
- Must have knowledge of Blueframe Technology and Production Truck software
- Must have a working knowledge of Formetco Video Boards
- Have the ability to create unique and original content for Social Media and In-arena Video Board content.
- Must have a working knowledge of live production setup and breakdown
- Should have some knowledge on how to create motion graphics
Photography/Videography
- Must have a working knowledge of how to work both photo and video cameras
- Must have a working knowledge of how to run and organize photography and video shoots
- Must have a working knowledge of industry lighting and microphone equipment
Graphic Design
- Have the ability to create unique and original content for Social Media and the In-Arena Video Board.
- Must have knowledge of Adobe Photoshop, Adobe Lightroom and Adobe Illustrator.

Problems faced are frequently complex and multidimensional, requiring broad-based consideration of variables that impact multiple areas of the organization.
Work Schedule: Sunday through Saturday - hours vary; includes "after-hours" work throughout the year
