The Goodyear Tire & Rubber Company has engaged Major, Lindsey & Africa on an exclusive basis to conduct a search for an Associate General Counsel – Regulatory Affairs & Chief Risk Officer. It employs about 72,000 people and manufactures its products in 55 facilities in 23 countries around the world.

Reporting to the General Counsel, the Chief Risk Officer will set strategic direction for global risk mitigation in the areas of Government Regulation, Compliance & Ethics, Data Privacy and Environmental/Sustainability, leading initiatives based on evaluation of relevant laws, business needs and strategy, and third party stakeholder developments. This position is responsible for ensuring the Company’s compliance with the laws and regulations that govern its business and industry in all jurisdictions in which the Company does business. Specifically, the Chief Risk Office will advise clients and/or supervise the activity of Company attorneys, and coordinate with regional and functional legal leaders, on certain existing and developing legal, regulatory and public affairs issues affecting the Company's operations.

The successful candidate will have at least 12+ years of relevant legal experience with significant experience in managing, designing, and executing compliance policies, programs, and procedures for a global organization in addition to experience in regulatory affairs, including engaging and responding with regulators and government authorities. The successful candidate will also have experience in data privacy collection, consents, access, release of information and data breach notification requirements. Experience working in an international setting is strongly preferred. Experience in the manufacturing sector is a clear advantage.
