There are cultural activities including various theaters and arts councils offering concerts, plays, and live entertainment, and there are many local festivals held throughout the year.SVCC is currently seeking applicants for the position of Annual Fund Officer. The successful candidate will report to the Director of Institutional Advancement and will be responsible for the management, including creation and implementation, of a comprehensive, multi-channel annual fund initiative. The Annual Fund Officer will lead, direct and administer all aspects of annual fund giving to include: face-to-face and phone solicitation, direct mail fundraising, online fundraising, donor database maintenance and appeal segmentation, donor acknowledgement and stewardship, gift processing and financial reporting. This position will be a vital part of the Institutional Advancement Team.The primary duty of this position is to set and manage the solicitation goals and strategies in support of the SVCC Foundation annual fund, focusing on increasing participation in giving and annual philanthropic revenue through strategic, creative and multi-channel approaches. This position will build and cultivate strong relationships with stakeholders and effectively promote the mission of SVCC to a broad and diverse audience.Responsibilities of the Annual Fund Officer include but are not limited to:Lead and manage the SVCC annual fund program by building a year-round fundraising plan to include developing goals, strategies and programming that aim to build and engage the SVCC donor baseCreate, implement, manage and evaluate the collegeâs annual fund program to include solicitation of alumni, friends, current and former faculty and staffHandle all levels of direct mail and electronic appeal solicitation campaigns, reports and other relevant correspondenceParticipate in the expansion of the collegeâs alumni programBuild a core group of alumni volunteers to participate in the expansion of this projectOrganize phonathon campaigns as neededLead fundraising projects, monthly giving programs, special appeals, peer to peer fundraising, outside events and other elements that support the annual fundWrite inspiring annual appeals efficientlyCultivate beneficial relationships and partnershipsSupervise and manage volunteersEnsure consistent and timely communications both internally and externallyEnsure effective and efficient utilization of and management of donor database functions including data entry, data quality, cash and in-kind donations, production of reports, tax receipts, credit card donations and recurring giftsUtilize software to track visits, produce contact notes and conduct appropriate follow-upCreate and implement processes to document in database, conversations with all stakeholders as well as appropriate data entry for notes, cultivation activities, volunteer solicitor actions, appeals, etc.Prepare and/or coordinate reporting tied to data needed for reports presented to board, committee and leadership meetingsCreate, implement, and evaluate strategies that lead to sound donor cultivation, prospecting, segmenting, acknowledgement, recognition and stewardshipWork with the Director of Communications to publicize through newspapers, newsletters and social mediaAssure that all donations are appropriately acknowledged and entered into the system for tracking purposesCoordinate the gift entry and acknowledgement process with office personnelDevelop a donor thank you and recognition effortContribute to newsletters and ongoing email communications to keep our donors engagedDevelop individualized cultivation plans for all donors in portfolioWork with the Director of Institutional Advancement to cultivate new donors, retain existing donors and inspire donors to move up the pipeline to major giftsManage and/or assist with special event planning and implementationManage and coordinate all aspects of fundraising and stewardship events, ticket sales, sponsorships and mission driven programmingIdentify potential guestsDevelop announcements and invitationsCoordinate arrangementsSupervise activitiesCoordinate the annual SVCC Foundation golf classic, working with members of the team to plan the eventProspect research, identification and cultivationSeek peer input and research tools that would enhance the Foundation's ability to research and identify funding prospectsEvaluate additional resources and recommend implementation of appropriate toolsResearch and identify potential funding sourcesDevelop cultivation plans for identified funding sources
