Lecturer in Public Administration

The Cornell Institute for Public Affairs (CIPA), www.cipa.cornell.edu, in the Jeb E. Brooks School of Public Policy, trains future leaders in the field of public affairs to address the world's most complex public policy challenges with a two-year, residential Master of Public Administration (MPA) degree and an 18-month, online Executive Master of Public Administration (EMPA) degree program. With an interdisciplinary curriculum, our graduates dedicate their careers to public service in international organizations, federal/state/local government, and nonprofit organizations.
The Cornell Institute for Public Affairs (CIPA) invites applications for a Lecturer position in the area of public administration starting mid-August 2022. This is a 9-month, full-time, three year appointment with the possibility of renewal. We seek a colleague to join our dynamic program and make strong teaching contributions in areas that support our core/foundational instruction.
Responsibilities of the position include teaching courses in the residential Master of Public Administration (MPA) and Executive Master of Public Administration (EMPA) programs. The successful applicant will also contribute to advising and communication. Additional opportunities for instruction in upper-level and professional development courses, summer session teaching, and distance learning opportunities are also available.
Qualifications
The successful candidate will have earned a master's degree (PhD preferred) in public administration or a closely aligned field with evidence of ability to teach at the university level, oversee teaching assistants and internships, and develop and coordinate activities with other instructors.

The Cornell Institute for Public Affairs is in the Jeb E. Brooks School of Public Policy at Cornell University. The Brooks School of Public Policy, launched in fall 2021, harnesses the university's wide-ranging expertise in public policy teaching, research and engagement into a shared academic home.
