About the Opportunity

Responsibilities:

The Director of Marketing and Communications, under the general direction of the Dean, leads internal communication for the College of Science (COS) as well as overseeing external marketing and communications for the College.

The Director, part of the senior team of the College, oversees a team responsible for the strategy and execution of College outreach, including but not limited to running the COS website, social media, marketing campaigns, annual reports, newsletters, printed collateral, and other multimedia communications. The Director will work with other College leadership (as well as interdependently) to design and carry out projects which advance the reputation and external profile of the College, with a special emphasis on promoting the top-tier research being done by faculty and students across COS.

The Director will support the Dean in articulating her vision for COS to a variety of stakeholders within Northeastern, across our alumni base, and outside the University community. Further, the Director will lead effective marketing strategies for COS, and regularly evaluate those strategies plus overall brand awareness for COS while seeking ways to further grow the College profile.

The Director oversees staff members and manages contractors as needed to provide a unified marketing and communications approach that moves seamlessly from internal to external audiences across delivery platforms. The Director will also be a
