The USC Annenberg School for Communication and Journalism is seeking a highly experienced Budget/Business Analyst to join its high-performing team.
The Budget/Business Analyst will provide support to the Annenberg School's research centers and the Annenberg Business Office. 50% of the incumbent's efforts will support both pre and post-award activities. The incumbent will support the principal investigators in all stages of grant administration. This includes, collaborating with various stakeholders, ensuring budget proposals are accurate and grant submissions are submitted in a timely manner. The other 50% will support the needs of the Annenberg Business Office. This includes help in creating and maintaining accounts, reconciling account balances and activity to university financial records, initiating correcting entries, preparing and reconciling financial reports as required, and reviewing for accuracy prior to distribution. The Budget/Business Analyst will also ensure financial compliance, provide ongoing reporting information, work to manage expenses, and coordinate with project close out deadlines.
Preferred Job Qualifications and Experience:
The ideal candidate will have strong knowledge and experience with USC policies and procedures along with strong contracts and grants skills.
