State chiropractic association is seeking a remote staff director to serve under the management and guidance of the executive director, with significant opportunity for advancement upon proven job success. While job is remote, overnight and weekend travel a few times a year will be required.
Help oversee and provide back-up support to member services associates and database/website administrator. Become proficient in AMS reporting, analysis, database management, day to day tasks, etc. (Brand new AMS and website in development through GrowthZone, to be launched by the end of January 2022.)
Develop, maintain, and implement FAQs and information reference systems to enable staff to serve members efficiently, accurately, and consistently.
Support leadership committees to possibly include, but not limited to, government relations, PR, education, and/or insurance.
Assist with development and implementation of marketing, communications, recruitment, retention, legislative, social media, and other campaigns, initiatives, and projects.
Support member benefits development.
Work with Doctor of Chiropractic members, board members, prospects, exhibitors, and others.
Draft, edit, and/or lay-out of association publications.
Participate in strategic planning and budgeting activities.
Assist with staff management and HR tasks.
Pitch in at conventions and other meetings/programs as needed.
A limited amount of answering phones (Voice IP) may be required on occasion, as emergency back-up to other staff.
Additional tasks as assigned by Executive Director.
At least 5 years of strong non-profit association experience.
4-year college degree or equivalent experience.
Proven ability to learn and utilize association management systems effectively.
Superb customer service, written and verbal communication, and organizational skills.
Demonstrated ability to learn, multi-task and work independently while maintaining attention to detail in a fast-paced environment.
Demonstrated ability to get things done on deadline in a remote work format.
Proficiency in Microsoft Office.
Business and personal references.
A high level of professionalism and a deep, genuine sense of empathy and caring.
Familiarity with the Chiropractic profession.
Insurance, government relations, and/or PAC experience.
Proficiency in website administration, InDesign, Photoshop.
