What does a great Communications Specialist do? As a member of the Card Services Client Communication Team, you will be responsible for creating and editing client and associate communications in timeframes required to meet project deliverables and ensure a consistently positive client experience. This role involves the ability to quickly grasp concepts and connect the dots between solution and client experience, so you are asking the right questions to drive meaningful communications content. You will be expected to lead meetings with all levels of stakeholders to gather information and communicate status toward objectives to management. Essential Job Responsibilities: * Plan, design, and author communications and artifacts for Fiserv clients, business partners and associates * Understand communications produced are a representation of the organization to the external world, and ensure they effectively meet our clients' needs, support our business objectives, and achieve our standards for quality, style, grammar, and accuracy * Quickly absorb and distill very complex information and communicate it in simple terms * Develop communications that foster high readership and are easily understood * Research systems and interview subject matter experts (SMEs), as required, to compile information and support the organization's technology-based programs * Collaborate with SMEs to define and then communicate critical information to clients and client-facing associates * Ensure communications are delivered on time and meet pre-established deadlines by collaborating with team to write, update, and gain approval of communications and related artifacts well in advance of delivery dates * Engage in meetings with thoughtful questions that garner answers which help complete messaging and communications; take notes; identify action items that result from the meetings, and share with manager and other team members as appropriate * Review program and client documentation to understand new and existing systems and applications under development so they can be effectively communicated to clients * Use knowledge gained in the position to grow personally and professionally * Provide back-up support for message distribution by learning the list development and communication delivery tools and methods * Provide support for on-call incident communications through a rotation with team
Basic Qualifications for Consideration: * Bachelor's Degree in English, Communications, Technical Writing, or Journalism or equivalent experience * Minimum 2 years direct corporate communications, technical writing, or professional writing experience in a corporate environment * Minimum 1 year experience in banking or credit industry
