The Licensed Vocational Nurse as an integral part of the Interdisciplinary Team, utilizes the nursing process to provide therapeutic care to employees and volunteers at Keck Medical Center of USC.
Delivers services that meet or exceed professional, organizational, community and regulatory standards and provides customer satisfaction.
Provides clinical and administrative services for new hires, volunteers, and injured employees
Administers immunizations, PPD skin tests, N95 mask fit testing and annual health assessmentsÂ
Actively involved in the Injury and Illness Prevention Program
Maintains well-organized and up-to-date record keeping systems while ensuring confidentiality of employee health records.Â
Employee participates in a collaborative work environment as demonstrated through teamwork and effective communication.
Minimum Education:â¢Current Licensed Vocational Nurse license in the State of California. Minimum Experience/Knowledge:â¢One year experience in an acute care setting or occupational setting immediately prior to application strongly preferredâ¢Excellent written and verbal communication skillsâ¢Excellent public relation skillsâ¢Highly organized and detail-mindedâ¢Computer skills requiredâ¢Bilingual (English/Spanish) preferredâ¢Capable of communicating with all levels of employee-administrative to staff.â¢Proficient analytical thinking and creative skills Required License/Certification:â¢Valid California Vocational Nursing licenseâ¢BLS requiredâ¢Fire and Safety Certification required (If employee does not have card upon hire one must be obtained within 30 days of hire and maintained by renewal before expiration date).
