Classification Duties
1. Direct and manage professional staff, including prioritizing and assigning work; conducting performance evaluations; processing employee concerns; providing technical expertise and guidance; ensuring staff are trained; coordinating professional development, ensuring that employees follow policies and procedures; maintaining a healthy and safe working environment; and implementing hiring, termination, and disciplinary procedures (E8)
2. Provide oversight and direct the implementation of instructional activities, programs, and operations; work may involve planning, coordinating, administering, and evaluating programs, projects, processes, strategies, procedures, systems, and/or standards related to instruction; ensure compliance with Federal, State, and local laws, regulations, codes, and/or standards. (D6)
3. Prepare and administer budgets and grants; prepare cost estimates for budget recommendations; submit justifications for budget items; and monitors and controls expenditures. (D6)
4. Prepare, review, interpret, and analyze a variety of complex and multi-faceted information, data, contracts, forms, schedules, calendars, surveys, and reports; makes recommendations based on findings. (D6)
5. Serve as a liaison to employees, students, and external organizations; represent the College at a variety of meetings, public events, training sessions, on committees, on policy-making bodies, and/or other related events. (D6)
6. Collaborate with college personnel to ensure efficient operation of division programs; participate in course and/or program development to ensure compliance with applicable licensing and oversight entities. (D6)
7. Perform other related duties of a comparable level/type as assigned.
