Marketing Communications Specialist 6135BR National Technical Institute for the Deaf NTID Center on Access Technology
Detailed Job Description Please note-This is a 1 year temporary position with anticipated end date of 12/31/2022.
In partnership with the MITRE Corporation's contract with the FCC, RIT/NTID provides significant engagement activities which involve the creation and dissemination of information related to project IRIS.
The Center on Access Technology Marketing Communication Specialist will be responsible for:
Coordinating and assisting with the creation of content for publication related to NTID's Center on Access Technology projects which may consist of corporate relations meeting materials, articles for print and internet medias, social media, and other marketing and public relations items for print and electronic media
Coordinating graphic arts design, printing and videography necessary to effectively market the Center on Access Technology projects
Monitoring, tracking and assessing success of all marketing and engagement initiatives. Providing monthly reports on marketing and engagement outputs and outcomes
Assisting in the preparations of presentations and marketing and communications
Assisting the Office of External Affairs with coordination of corporate and community relations
Coordinating and assisting with the creation of content for publications related to NTID's Center on Employment
2-3 years of experience in marketing/communications required
Excellent project coordination
Experience with Microsoft Office Suite
Strong interpersonal/communication skills
Strong writing skills
Experience with website design, creation, and management
Experience with social media management
American Sign Language skills or willingness to learn in order to be able to communicate with a wide range of deaf and hard-of-hearing individuals
